Body Shot Scar Dmg Fortnite

Maybe it was the curiosity that got them, or that 50% off Holiday Sale, or maybe the future is now and Fortnite’s Save the World mode has come out of paid Early Access and is now free to play. Regardless of what it is, a lot of player that got hooked on Fortnite’s free Battle Royale mode are making the jump into the PVE side of the game.

Guns That Are Just as Good as the Legendary SCAR in Fortnite Save the World. If you turn down a perfectly good Nocturno and ask for a SCAR, then your newness is showing. The Nocturno is a reskin of the Siegebreaker available through the Ultimate edition Founder’s Pack.

While most of us are happy to have more people to play with, there is a portion of the “BR Generation,” as we call them, that is being kind of obnoxious. Higher power level players may wander into Plankerton or Stonewood to do daily quests or simply to help out newer players, but more and more higher level players are shying away because of those newcoming BR converts that are constantly begging for guns. Some are asking nicely, which is appreciated and generally we like to be occasionally generous, while others are asking not-so-nicely and ruining that spirit of generosity.

One of the most popular items that the younglings are begging for is that legendary “SCAR”. This, to everyone who plays the STW mode over the BR, would mean a Siegebreaker or, in its lesser epic rarity, the Equalizer. However, the BR Generation only knows it as a SCAR due to the gun skin as the guns do not have proper names in that mode.

It seems the ruder portion of the BR Generation will take nothing less than Legendary SCAR, but they are making a big mistake. There are a lot of amazing assault rifles (or any gun, even) out there, and turning your nose up at them is… Disgusting, disrespectful, and not in the spirit of the game that, for the most part, wants you to experiment with guns and find the one you are most comfortable using.

Everyone wants a legendary gun, we know, but there are a lot of great guns out there. Furthermore, a gun with the right perk rolls on it, even an Epic or a Rare rarity gun can be better than a Legendary Siegebreaker with garbage rolls. But you know what? Until you get to late Plankerton, it doesn’t really matter because the game wants you to try out guns. This means if you are offered a gun as a new player, you should accept it gracefully whether it is your coveted Legendary SCAR or not.

How to Get Your Own SCAR in Fortnite Save the World

You don’t want to rely on others? That’s for the best. The Fortnite community is nice, but we aren’t nice forever. Anyway, if you want your own Siegebreaker or Equalizer, unfortunately you will just have to do it the hard way like everyone else did. More unfortunately, the hard way is buying Llamas and hoping you get lucky. You also have a chance it will show up in the Event/Daily Coin store, but that seems rare.

You should save your v-bucks for the Legendary Troll Stash or Legendary Troll Loot Truck Llama for the best odds of getting at least something good. (You can read why here.) However, you are able to get some of the below and those might be good choices to level up as well.

Nocturno

If you turn down a perfectly good Nocturno and ask for a SCAR, then your newness is showing. The Nocturno is a reskin of the Siegebreaker available through the Ultimate edition Founder’s Pack. Where it primarily differs from a Siegebreaker is that it has a fixed set of perks compared to the Seigebreaker that can roll random and one of those perks is energy damage. As to which gun is better, it is completely up to preference, but they are just as powerful.

Grave Digger

The Grave Digger is a reward from Fortnite’s Fornitemares Halloween event, and like the aforementioned Nocturno, it comes with a fixed set of perks for everyone who go it. Fully automatic, it can eat through all your medium ammo if you let it, but it comes with decent stats including a fire element when level 25. At lower levels before you start getting to elemental enemies, a fire element is a great element to have for increased damage.

Razorblade

Most people hate burst rifles, but a good Razorblade will never feel like a burst rifle while still giving you that same superior accuracy. This legendary gun literally feels like a razor cutting through enemies when leveled up and will just absolutely destroy at lower levels. However, because it doesn’t have the same burst stop as other burst rifles, it can be a bit ammo intensive.

Terminator

LMGs are not the greatest guns, but they are very fun to use especially when staring down a huge wave of enemies. Getting this Legendary LMG, especially when it rolls with increased magazine size means you can just mow down a whole field of husks. Unfortunately, it will eat up ammo like no other gun on this list if you don’t pay attention.

Drumroll

The Drumroll is the Founder’s assault rifle that comes with the Limited package. It comes with fixed perks rolled on it, with one of them being a water element. While stat-wise the Siegebreaker still excels, for what lower level new players need it for, the Drumroll is exceptional and its handling is pretty spot on.

Deathstalker

Not all assault rifles need to be mid-range affairs. If you want an AR that can rip things apart from a range, the Deathstalker is the way to go. While the scope might be a problem with some, it has everything you want in a powerful AR – it is accurate, it is powerful, and it is ammo conservative.

Tigerjaw

Listen younglings, in late-game Fortnite, it is going to be very difficult to use shotguns effectively even with Raider-type soldiers and great shotgun rolls. However, that does not change the fact that shotguns are a fun way to play. If you are in Stonewood, Plankerton, or even early Canny Valley, you still have a chance to enjoy them. If offered an auto shotgun like a Tigerjaw or a Bearcat, it will serve you well and eat up all your excess shotgun shells.

Super Shredder

While the Super Shredder might make a poor primarily weapon, it is a sniper that fires shotgun shells. Not only does that make it innately powerful, but it is incredibly fun to use. There are many who regard this as one of the best sniper rifles out there, so never turn your nose up at a Super Shredder.

Courtesy of Reddit users Xilixir and zrsp, we now get to see these awesome damage charts for Fortnite weapons. The above photo tells us the damage values from different leveled ARs, Semi-ARs, and Scars. Very useful information for a player starting out.

However, if you’re a little more experienced and feel like diving in deeper, check out Xilixir’s google doc below. We took a screenshot for you, but you can check out the chart here.

The spreadsheet uses Fire Rate, Mag Size, Reload Time, Multiplier, Damage (Body), Damage (Head,) DPS (Body,) DPS (Head), Shots/Kill Avg (Body), and Shots/Kill Avg (Head). DPS is calculated by multiplying the Fire Rate with Damage to Body.

Bolt, Auto Sniper, and Pump

For those who don’t already know, the Bolt Action Sniper Rifle is potentially the most powerful weapon in the game. You may have noticed players and streamers leaving behind that yellow, LegendarySemi-Auto Sniper Rifle, and you wonder.. why!? It is legendary! But check out the chart above. Not only does the Bolt Action do more damage to the head (290 damage) it also does at least 105 damage to the body with only a rare rifle. Meanwhile, the legendary Auto Sniper does 66 to the body!

Obviously the downfall of the Bolt is the fact that you can only fire it once before having to reload. This is valuable time where an Auto Sniper can get off 3-4 shots. This same concept is evident in the shotguns in the game. The double action was recently nerfed because it was removing the disadvantage of the gun; high damage, long reload speed. When players double pumped, they didn’t have to “reload” or pump their gun, and were able to achieve some insane things.

In the chart above, the Pump shotgun is capable of doing over 237 damage to a players head and 1 shotting them even if they have 100 shield and 100 health. Meanwhile, the Epic tactical reaches 185 damage to the head. Epic tactical reaches 277 DPS to the head, while the Green pump reaches 166. Glad to see the pump losing in 1 category, however, if you are good at hitting head shots with the pump, its still the best choice.

What do you think about these damage charts? Is everything spread evenly/fairly?
