Hello board,
I have a user running XP Professional & Office 2007 Enterprise. His Excel is set to save spreadsheets in 97-2003 format.
When he emails such a spreadsheet to anyone running Office 2003 Professional (including myself), & they to open the file, it says 'This file is not in a recognized format' (see attachment).
If I click OK at this point, the data isn't readable. In fact it doesn't even resemble the original spreadsheet in any way - the characters are all manner of symbols, etc..
This speadsheet will open fine in Office 2007 Excel on another computer in my office.
I'm hoping someone may have an idea what is causing this.
